Shakti means Power. Gurumaa had created shakti for the improvement of girls education. The girls have talent . Gurumaa gave them opportunities to show their talent. In our presetn there are places where girls growth is very less as compared to boys. In Shakti she told that girls are not less from anyone. They also have power to do something,they also have the power to make their position in the world. Many people think that girls should do kitchen work not else but no they also have the power to become something. Gurumaa helps them in their education so that they study more and can be self-independent.Gurumaa also told not to kill girls. People are killing girls just because that they think boys can only hold their business. Gurumaa helped the girls to make them self- independent. The Shakti says that we should inspire everyone to not to kill the girls and let them also fly. Let them be self – independent.

Shakti – empowernment of a girl child, a programme started by Anandmurti Gurumaa is to make a girl gain all her rights which she has not been provided with. We never thought there could be such a world without computers, But today we were shown in Gurunmaa Ashram that yes, there are parts of country where kids don’t know how to operate a computer. Even in todays times there are people who think that Girls are liabilities or Boys will take care of them for the whole of there life. But no its not true. Girls are proving that they are much better than boys in many fields. Even they can earn and even more than boys. The areas of Punjab, Delhi and Gujarat are having the top most falling ratio of girls as compared to boys and they are the famous states of India.

Some people even don’t think that girls have the right to take birth but they forget the country (India) they live in, is known as “Bharat Mataa”. Every human being takes birth from a women but still they think girls should not be given birth. They are killed before coming into this world. Even if they are given birth, they don’t get equal rights as compared to boys, they are not given freedom to study and if they let them study, they do not let them to be self dependent to earn.

Girl is the most precious gift of god. She is blessed with powers of emotions, feeling and she has the heart to bless even if she is bleeding. She takes care of everyone being a daughter, a wife, a daughter-in-law and the most important as a mother.Mother is called the first Guru of Everyone’s life but if there are no girls who will give birth and there will be no mother.

And it will be the Rejection of God’s gift. Anyone who denies the power of God or who comes in his ways of judging things will be destroyed. As they are nothing else but the sons of god. And anyone does a wrong deed. Mother/Father punishes them. So, the rule of the world will not change.

The result of decreasing ratio of girls will be increase in crime rate, girls would be unsafe, as the requirement will not be completed. Everything will be destroyed. Women is called – the creator of the world and if no women will be there it will lead to destruction. So, girl should be given the right to take birth and the right to be well educated. So that she can be self dependent.

Shakti means power, energy, strength which is being given to girls by God. But some people in our country do not respect girls. Places such as Haryana, Delhi and Gujarat do not respect girls at all. In these places so many girls are being raped, killed before birth due to which the sex ration is very less.

Some people let it be from poor families or rich families say that girls should not be born because they cannot handle our buiseness or they cannot do any work properly. But I donot agree with those people because they donot know that girls can do so much work that by girls only or we can say that Goad has given so much power to girls that they can handle all the work very well. Girls can become better business women, they are able to take care of their families and most important thing is if girls are not born then we cannot carry any further relationship because females only gibe birth to the children. Girls are more intelligent than boys because of Shakti.

So I promise myself that I will spread this Shakti every where because after all I am also a girl. Whosoever thinks that boys are better than girls, then I will go to them and explain those people very well. Therefore to improve the sex ratio of India I willtake this step so that I can empower the girl child.

To make a better tomorrow, all of us need to take this step and from now, I will do my job properly to give my country a better future.

Shakti – The Power.

The word “Shakti” itself defines the meaning of the word. Shakti is the symbol of a women i.e.power of the women.

Life in 21st century is also not advanced. We try to imitate and follow the western culture but we are still not advanced. Just by wearing short clothes, Denims, Eating Low-cal food does not proves us to be advanced. We have to increase our mental level. Living in 2007 is also like living in 1800. We may have advanced in scientific and information technology but there are still so many places where India is till lagging behind.

In India, where one side women are considered to be godess on the other side, they are being killed at the time of birth, being burned in their houses for dowry. The situation has become so worse that the ratio between girls and boys have down at a very lower level.

Because of Abortions of girl child, Ratio of Girl: Boys have reached:- 827 : 1000, i.e. there are 827 girls per 1000 boys. Cities like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Gujrat are the most culprit cities under the list.

Delhi being the metropolitan city is also a part of this crime.

The consequences of this situation are going to be very bad. As girls are decreasing in comparison to boys, crime rate will increase more of rape attempts will be made. So the only solution to this problem is to spread awareness amongst the girl children. They should be taught about their rights and freedom. They should be made aware that they are no less than boy. So to empower the strength of a girl child Gurumaa ji has started a new programme under her supervison in the ashram provice. This program has been given the name “Shakti”- The empowerment of a girl child”.

This programme has been designed specially for girls education. This programme is responsible for providing education to those poor girl children whose parents died under some war circumstances or who do not have parents or cannot afford education.

They are provided education from Nursery class to 12th class. They are also being made aware about computer courses, internet courses etc. So that they do not have to wait for long to get a basic job, So that they can become a earning pillar of the house and break the myth of the parents that only boy child can serve his parents in old age, due to which they prefer to have a boy child than a girl child.

We are really obliged that Gurumaa came up with such a wonder idea of providing education to the neglected part of the society and now its our turn to make contribution in this programme. Either we can donate some money in ashram with the name of “Vidya Nidhi Kosh”, or by T- Shirts designed specially for this purpose with motivating captions written on them and wear them in our work places or other surroundings or Teach little poor girls ourself around our society and make a contribution in the programme directly.

SHAKTI : As the name itself suggests that it means power, strength, determination. Girls are precious and therefore we should save them from being killed. Shakti is a project founded by our Guruji to help stop killing of girls. Girls are being killed as soon as they are born. In parts of our country like Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi. The ratio of girls as to boys is very less.

Girls are killed firstly due to age old myths that people believe and secondly there parents think that they will have to pay huge amount of money for dowry. They want boys because they think boys are the ones who will make the family proud and carry forward their family name. If they cannot be brought to life again. They should also not be killed. This is increasing the rate of crime against women and will cause a natural and social imbalance. Need for the hour is to empower old age myth and to make girl dependent. Shakti aims for a better society and to make girls realize that they in no way are more inferior to boys. It also give them financial support for their education. So if we work together we can make the world a better place to live.
